Billing and plans

Sparqbox bills monthly or annually in EUR. Every new workspace starts on a 14-day Growth trial; no card needed. Annual is two months free.

The audit log viewer is available on every paid plan — admins can browse, filter, and export their workspace's event history at Settings → Security → Audit log. See Audit log.

Two Scale features are flagged "Coming Q3 2026": REST API access and webhook exports. They are included in Scale at no extra cost when they ship.

The 14-day Growth trial

Every new workspace starts on Growth for 14 days. All Growth features are unlocked during the trial.

You'll get reminder emails on:

  • Day 0, welcome.
  • Day 3, invite-team nudge (only if the workspace has fewer than two members).
  • Day 11, three days remaining.
  • Day 13, one day remaining.
  • Day 14, trial ended.
  • Day 21, workspace will become read-only.

Pick a plan to keep the workspace active without interruption.

Payment methods

We accept:

  • Card.
  • iDEAL.
  • SEPA Direct Debit.
  • Bancontact.

Stripe handles automatic EU VAT and B2B reverse-charge, so a valid VAT ID is collected at checkout.

Changing plan

Section titled “Changing plan”

Plan upgrades and downgrades go through hosted Stripe Checkout.

  • Upgrade, open Settings → Billing, pick a higher plan, complete Checkout. The change is effective immediately and the new entitlements are applied on your next page load.
  • Downgrade, same path. Before completing Checkout, the system checks that your current usage fits the target plan. If you'd be over a limit (for example, seven categories on Starter, which caps at three), you'll see a Downgrade blocked modal listing what to clean up first.

Invoice history and payment-method updates live in the Stripe Customer Portal, reachable from the same Billing tab.

Read-only mode

If your Stripe subscription is cancelled, the workspace flips to read-only.

  • Reads still work, you can list ideas, view insights, read decisions.
  • Writes are blocked, submitting, scoring, commenting, and changing settings all return a "workspace is read-only" notice.
  • Recover by picking a plan and completing Checkout. The workspace becomes writeable again immediately.

Hitting a plan limit

When you hit a limit, the affected control disables. Examples:

  • Starter, 4th category, the New category button shows an upgrade tooltip; clicking opens the upgrade modal.
  • Starter, 6th coordinator, the Coordinator option in the role dropdown is greyed out; clicking opens the upgrade modal.
  • Starter, AI reviews near cap, a banner shows "AI reviews left this month: {remaining} of {limit}." When the cap is hit, the upgrade modal opens.

No data is lost when you hit a limit; the next operation is blocked, that's all.
