Finding your way around

The Sparqbox interface is split into a top navigation bar, a left sidebar, and a content area. Admins reach settings through the admin group in the sidebar.

The top bar runs across every page.

  • Workspace name and logo sit on the far left. Clicking the logo returns you to your dashboard.
  • Search sits in the centre. Search covers idea titles, descriptions, and reference numbers like IDEA-2026-0047.
  • Notifications is the bell icon. A small badge shows unread count. Clicking opens the notifications panel.
  • Account menu is your avatar on the far right. It opens preferences, language switching, and sign-out.

The dashboard is your home view at /dashboard. What you see depends on your role. Every clickable number on the dashboard opens the Ideas list with the matching filter already applied.

The admin dashboard gives a workspace-wide picture across three sections.

KPI row: four metrics for the selected time range: total ideas processed (throughput), average time from submission to first decision, approval rate, and participation as a member count. A filter bar above the row lets you scope by range, department, and category.

Pipeline and breakdown: a funnel showing ideas at each status, plus a bar chart of ideas by category. Both charts respond to the active filter.

Right rail: needs-attention signals (ideas awaiting a decision override, stalled reviews), reviewer load (who has the most open assignments), plan and usage counters, quick actions, an AI insight summary, and recent activity.

The sidebar groups the main app surfaces into a workspace group and an admin group.

Visible to all signed-in users, subject to tier and role gates:

  • Dashboard, your home view (see above).
  • Ideas, the full idea list, filterable by status, category, and "Assigned to me".
  • Shortlist, a ranked list of approved ideas waiting to move into execution, grouped into High, Medium, and Low priority bands. Visible to all roles. A badge on the sidebar item shows how many ideas have passed their due date.
  • Executions, the project-tracking board for ideas that have moved into implementation. Coordinators and above only.
  • Campaigns, themed, time-bound submission windows. Available on the Growth and Scale plans.
  • Insights, reports and AI-generated themes across submissions and decisions. Coordinators and above only.

Visible to admins only:

  • Users, invite and manage workspace members.
  • Departments, create and rename departments used for filtering and routing.
  • Settings, workspace settings with tabs for organisation, workflow, AI, notifications, security, and billing.
  • Criteria & scoring, category hierarchy, criteria weights, approval and rejection thresholds, and ranking configuration.

The Help center button at the bottom of the sidebar opens the documentation page that matches the screen you are on. When no specific page is mapped for your current screen, it falls back to the docs home.

The sidebar collapses into icons-only on narrow viewports and on demand. Click the toggle at the bottom of the sidebar to switch.

Admins reach workspace settings through the Settings item in the admin group. The settings surface has tabs for Organisation, Workflow, AI, Notifications, Security, and Billing. See Workspace settings for what each tab controls.

Coordinators and submitters do not see the admin group.

Sparqbox ships in dark mode at launch. Light mode is planned post-launch.
